Dennis Martire: LIUNA Leadership Journey

Dennis Martire

The thirty-year career of Dennis Martire with the Laborers’ International Union of North America (LIUNA) has led to roles of increasing responsibility and numerous leadership opportunities. Most recently, in his role of regional manager and vice president of the mid-Atlantic region — a role held since 2002 — Martire has worked to pass prevailing wage laws in Maryland and led the creation of a new LIUNA chapter, Local 11, among the workers on Fluor-Lane’s expansion of Route 495 Hot Lanes Project.

He’s served on a variety of boards and committees, sharing his expertise and leadership skills. Some of those include the American High Speed Rail Alliance Advisory Board, the Pennsylvania Workforce Investment Board, the National Maintenance Agreement Policy Committee and the Laborers-Employers Benefit Plan Collection Trust. And that’s only naming a few of his many commitments! Dennis Martire’s dedication to LIUNA and his leadership role are exemplary across the previous three decades.
