This initiative is designed to equip workers with enhanced competencies, enabling them to perform job-related tasks more efficiently and proficiently. The comprehensive training covers a wide range of subjects and specialties, empowering workers to advance their careers while reassuring employers of the increased efficiency and cost-effectiveness associated with union labor.
Beyond his leadership in LiUNA’s Mid-Atlantic Region, Dennis Martire holds positions on various boards and committees, highlighting his multifaceted engagement in different spheres. He brings his expertise to entities such as the American High-Speed Rail Alliance Advisory Board, the Blue Ribbon Commission on Maryland Transportation Funding, the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA), and the Dulles Area Transportation Authority. Furthermore, Martire’s commitment extends to critical domains such as the Laborers’ Health and Safety Fund of North America (LHSFNA) and the Mid-Atlantic Laborers’ Employers Cooperation and Education Trust (MALECET), where he serves as a Trustee. Notably, he holds leadership positions as Chairman of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Organizing Coalition (MAROC) and the Performance Management Committee, in addition to his role as a Committee Member for the Pennsylvania Workforce Investment Board (PA WIB), among numerous others.
Residing in Northern Virginia with his family, Dennis Martire’s journey is grounded in a foundational Bachelor of Science degree in Government obtained from West Virginia Wesleyan College in 1986. Affiliated with pride to LiUNA Local #1058 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, his steady rise within LIUNA reflects years of unwavering commitment and dedication to the union’s membership. Regarded as a personal mission, Dennis remains unwavering in his endeavor to improve working conditions and secure equitable employment opportunities for all laborers.
